Disciplinary Decisions
The public entrusts the NSPR with holding registrants accountable for complying with the rules that govern the practice of pharmacy and for conducting themselves in an ethical and professional manner. The NSPR addresses complaints received about registrants and pharmacies by adhering to specific processes outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act and regulations.
These processes are primarily undertaken by three committees: the Complaints Committee, the Professional Conduct Committee, and the Fitness to Practise Committee. Each of these Committees includes a member of the public to provide for transparency of the NSPR’s professional conduct processes and the NSPR’s accountability to its mandate to serve the public’s best interest.
